Creepy Xmas audiobook
That book is Old Bones by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Childs, but the bookshelf function isn’t working too well.
The book was good: a slightly gory murder mystery set at an archaelogical dig of a mountain camp associated with the cannibalistic Donner party. Turned out to the be the first book in a series that is a spin off of another series. I usually like my audiobooks cozier than this because their purpose is to lull me to sleep, but I enjoyed this.
It brought to mind the old comic horror film Ravenous (1999) with Robert Carlyle and Guy Pearce, even though there is no real similarity other than creepy cannibals in the West. 🍿
